Kite decorating events will be held:
• Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Ada at HOM's West Michigan headquarters, 989 Spaulding Ave. SE from 4-7 p.m.
• Thursday, Sept. 6, in HOM's Muskegon office at 1930 E. Apple Ave. in Muskegon, from 3-4:30 p.m.

The Fly and Remember memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13 from 4-7 p.m. at Muskegon's Pioneer Park, 1563 N. Scenic Drive.

HOM is also offering families the opportunity to make a donation and fly a virtual kite if they are unable to attend the event. Interested individuals or groups can find out more here.
