PEARLAND, TX, August 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) One of the largest magic conventions in the world is being held in Houston over Labor Day weekend, August 3-September 3. The Texas Association of Magicians (TAOM) 2012 Convention will bring hundreds of world renowned magicians to the Hilton Americas Hotel for four days of mind-boggling, how'd-he-do-that magic.
The public is invited to attend Gala Stage Shows starring international performers on Saturday and Sunday evenings. While they last, tickets are $10.00 per person and may be purchased online. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show on the fourth floor of the Hilton Americas Hotel, located at 1600 Lamar, Houston, Texas 77002. "TAOM 2012 promises to be one of the most exciting conventions ever held by our organization with over 30 internationally known magicians and celebrity guests. Over 400 magicians and their families are already registered to attend. Tickets to the Gala Stage Shows will disappear fast so be sure to get your tickets early," said Daniel Garcia, one of the most influential performers in street magic and 2012 TAOM president.
Austin magician and druggist Herman Yerger founded the annual Labor Day weekend picnic in 1944 that led to the organization of the Texas Association of Magicians (TAOM) September 1, 1946. TAOM has grown to an annual attendance of over 1,500 conventioneers.
