SUWANEE, GA, August 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) No one knows barbecue like the BBQ Doctor. Residents and families at Senior Solutions Management's communities will adamantly agree with that statement. Over the past two years, Todd Barker and Chris Sides, aka the BBQ Doctor, have organized community cookouts for the senior housing facilities they manage throughout Georgia and Tennessee.
These events are open to the surrounding community, as well as residents and their guests, creating a fun and relaxed environment for the two communities to interact. For Barker and Sides, it is much more than a marketing tool for Senior Solutions. It is the fusion of two lifelong passions. For more than 15 years, Barker and Sides have been dedicated to providing the highest quality living facilities and care services available to seniors. The two have experience managing independent, assisted and Alzheimer's living communities for seniors across the nation. The business partners also have plenty of experience with barbecue which really adds to the authenticity of the cookbook. A Georgia native, Barker brings his love of shoulders and ribs to the fire pit. Sides, who grew up in North Carolina, contributes the tangy flavor of Carolina chopped pork barbecue with its zesty vinegar based sauce that will put a smile on just about anyone's face.
Partner Todd Barker, said about the BBQ Cookbook, "We have an immense amount of passion for the happiness of our residents and BBQ styling cooking; the cookbook was just a natural progression of both of our loves combined."
Along with input from their residents and guests, Barker and Sides have tantalized taste buds in all of their SSMG communities with their barbecue recipes. In May, 2010, the BBQ Doctor duo won seventh place at a Memphis Barbecue Network competition in Gainesville and have four original recipe sauces.
This cookbook is currently available for only $15 at all Senior Solutions assisted living centers including:
