Voted best PC technicians by San Diego Magazine, SDCC facilities are located just west of Kensington and have become a fixture in the community. SDCC's customers are extremely loyal. This speaks to the integrity and values of SDCC and their commitment to providing exceptional service. This acquisition is part of our strategy to continue to expand our presence in IT and to educate the San Diego tech community about all the products and services that we have been providing for several years," added Ruiz de Castilla.

The Chip Merchant has been serving San Diego businesses and consumers for over 27 years. Initially founded as a memory and computer hardware reseller, for the last 10 years The Chip Merchant has provided a variety of services including IT support, managed services, backup and business continuity, and cloud solutions and virtualization. The acquisition of SDCC enhances and expands the broad range of products, services and expertise offered by The Chip Merchant. To SDCC clients, it provides additional services not currently available to them. "I am very excited to become part of such a talented and vibrant organization, and to provide my small business clients with options and additional services to fulfill their growing needs," said Cumley.

The transition process is set to begin this month. The unified organization will benefit from a larger client base, complimenting service offerings and expertise. The Chip Merchant will continue to operate under both names for the foreseeable future.
