NJ Association of Verismo Opera Announces Discount Tickets Available in August & New Rates for Seniors, Children to See Madama Butterfly

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera is offering a range of new discount ticket rates this season to make the art form available and affordable for families, children, seniors and the public.

FORT LEE, NJ, August 19, 2012 (Press-News.org) The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera (Verismo Opera) continues to make the grand world of opera accessible and affordable this season to patrons of all ages. Under Artistic Director and Metropolitan Opera star Lucine Amara, Verismo Opera is offering to the public a special 2 for 1 sale on $45 and $55 tickets only from August 23-25 to see Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly on Sunday, October 7, 3:00 p.m., at the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) located at 30 North Van Brunt Street in Englewood, New Jersey. New discount ticket rates for senior citizens and children are also available now through October 7.

The 2 for 1 discount tickets may be purchased online at the bergenPAC's web site, in person at the bergenPAC box office from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays or by calling 201-227-1030 or toll free at 1-888-PACSHOW.

New Ticket Rates for Senior Citizens, Children

New ticket rates for senior citizens and children are available now through October 7, 2012 to see Madama Butterfly. Senior citizens, ages 65 and over, purchasing regular-priced $45 or $35 tickets on non-sale dates are entitled to a 10% discount. This discount is not available online. Call 201-224-2809 to purchase a ticket or to request information about group ticket rates.

Verismo Opera continues its tradition of educating and introducing youngsters to the joy of fine music. The company is offering a reduced ticket rate of $10 for children, ages 12 and under. Children's tickets may be purchased in person at the bergenPAC box office or by calling (201) 227-1030 or toll free at 1-888-PACSHOW.

The New Jersey Association of Verismo Opera (Verismo Opera) has been a part of the New Jersey music scene since 1989. The opera company, a nonprofit organization based in Fort Lee, New Jersey, provides performing opportunities for young musicians and artists. Verismo Opera sponsors an annual vocal competition held in November with finals conducted in Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall, drawing artists from all over the United States, Canada, and Europe.
