The Voice's Naia Kete To Perform With Ladysoal In Ames Iowa

Finishing strong in Season 2 of NBC's The Voice, former street performer Naia Kete brings her brand of reggae inspired music to the stage with Ames, IA original act Ladysoal on September 14th.

2012-08-22
LOS ANGELES, CA, August 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) It's been a long road to gain her name recognition, but Naia Kete is making the grade in music entertainment. Since her days of street performing on Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade, Naia has showcased her talent to a national audience on TV's The Voice and is now introducing herself to audiences in select markets by performing with top local talent. On September 14th, Naia will take the stage with Ames, Iowa natives Ladysoal to appeal to their hometown crowd at the Maintenance Shop, located at Iowa State University.

Ladysoal has been a staple in the Ames/Des Moines music scene since 2008. Blending soul and blues into their brand of rock originals, the band has become the go-to act for packing clubs throughout the area. It makes sense that Naia would perform with Ladysoal.

"We're quite excited to share the stage with Naia," Ladysoal's front woman stated. "She's got a fabulous reggae sound and our dreads are going to look great together on stage. Our fans are going to love her!"

Earning their fan base by performing in clubs from Ames to Memphis, live on-air in the mid-west radio market and ranking a million and a half views on their YouTube Channel, front woman Sharika Soal (for whom the band is named) brings an attention getting, throat driven and soulful female voice to audiences that respond with support at every show. Recently reviewed in Curve Magazine for their outstanding efforts and unique sound and blasting their way across the indie-blogsphere, Ladysoal is setting out to alert their fans to this show and the upcoming full length CD they'll be recording with Popgun Entertainment.
