GAITHERSBURG, MD, August 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Aquabarrel recently unveiled a new product: The EarthMinded RainStation 60 Gallon Complete Rain Barrel. The RainStation was designed with Prince George's County's Stormwater Management Retrofit Program in mind.
By creating the Stormwater Management Retrofit Program, the PG County Council aims to foster greener communities by offering incentives for homeowners and businesses to reduce rainwater runoff. According to County Councilwoman Mary A. Lehman, "[The program] will make green infrastructure projects affordable to communities that otherwise would not be able to implement them." With the purchase of a pair of EarthMinded RainStation 60 Gallon Rain Barrels, property owners can claim a $50 rebate.
Aquabarrel is a microbusiness whose mission is to promote water conservation through the use of rain barrels. Today, Aquabarrel offers an array of rain barrel products and accessories directly to consumers, including above ground cisterns, downspout diverters and filters, and the rain barrel itself.
