A4M Speaker Dr. Amen Speaks on Success, Brain, and Health

BOCA RATON, FL, August 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Amen of Amen Clinics is no stranger to success. Running six offices around the country, five time New York Times bestselling author, double board certified psychiatrist and educator, Dr. Amen recently spoke to Success Magazine about developing a leader's mind.

Dr. Amen's work can be attributed to SPECT Imaging. It captures the blood flow and activity patterns, illustrating how well your brain is working. Brain imaging science allows clinical psychiatrists to help many of their patients overcome depression, brain injury and other debilitating issues through rediscovering brain health. Recently, famous retired Steelers quarterback, Terry Bradshaw, was interviewed on the Jay Leno show and opened up about his experiences in the NFL, specifically about his concussions that have resulted in memory loss problems.

"When I went to the Amen Clinic, they ask you a simple question, 'how many concussions do you think you've had.' I answered six, and then they asked 'how do you know,' and I said because I blacked out from those six," stated Shaw.

Dr. Amen has treated numerous athletes and has studied their brains as a result of these injuries. In 2007, Dr. Amen was treating NFL player, Anthony Davis, and the results were shocking. Dr. Amen was looking at a 54-year old brain that resembled the one of an 84-year old.
In addition to all his sole success, he has partnered with Pastor Rick Warren and Drs. Mark Hyman and Mehmet Oz, to architect the "Daniel Plan," a 52 week program to get the world healthy through religious organizations. After the first year the church lost 260,000 pounds, but weight loss was only one of the stunning side effects of getting truly healthy.
