Grandstream SIP Cordless Phones Receive Interoperability Certification with Epygi Quadro IP PBXs

Epygi SMB/SME and SOHO Users Gain Mobility Beyond the Desktop with DP715/710 DECT Digital Wireless IP Phones from Grandstream

2012-08-29
BROOKLINE, MA, August 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Grandstream Networks, the leading manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and IP video surveillance solutions, announced today that its newly released DP715/710 DECT Cordless IP Phones have achieved interoperability certification on Epygi Technologies' Quadro IP PBXs. Epygi's small to medium-sized business and enterprise (SMB/SME) and small office home office (SOHO) customers can extend worldwide VoIP applications beyond the desktop by using Grandstream SIP/DECT 6.0 compliant Cordless IP Phones throughout offices, facilities, warehouses and retail establishments.

Grandstream DP715/DP710 Cordless IP Phones offer wide range indoor/outdoor wireless radio coverage, high audio quality, affordability, TLS and SRTP security protection and SIP open standards flexibility, thus garnering further value of IP from a financial and productivity application perspective. Plug-and-play installation allows businesses to add DP715/DP710 phones to IP network without the need for physical hard wiring to an employee's desktop or other facility location.

"Epygi and Grandstream have worked together for years on many successful installations with high customer satisfaction," said Warren Sonnen, director of product management and marketing at Epygi. "The introduction of new SIP devices is always exciting as it allows us to offer new desktop solutions with the Epygi PBXs. Products with mobility are especially attractive to our users because powerful features normally restricted to a user's desk can now move with them."

The Epygi IP PBX is designed for SMBs/SMEs and supports up to 300 concurrent calls. It offers support for eight IP phone extensions up to 1,000 on the larger enterprise PBX solution. In addition, this system supports SIP lines to connect to an Internet Service Provider, FXO (Foreign Exchange Office) and E1/T1 lines for a medium-sized hybrid office environment. Any user on the system, whether they are on an IP or analog phone, will have access to the advanced VoIP features. Remote users will be able to take advantage of the cost-saving and performance-enhancing features.

Grandstream's DP715, which includes the DECT handset and the VoIP base station with integrated charger, supports up to five distinct SIP accounts and is expandable to a total of five DECT 6.0 handsets and four concurrent calls. The DP710 or expansion unit, which includes a DECT phone and charger unit, is used in conjunction with the DP715 base station unit and is situated throughout the business for added user convenience. With an outdoor coverage range of nearly 1,000 feet (about 300 meters), indoor range of nearly 150 feet (50 meters), the phones also have a 102x80 pixel backlit graphic display, 10-hour talk time, 80-hour standby-time, full duplex speakerphone with acoustic echo cancellation, rich user-friendly features associated with VoIP including calling ID, call waiting, transfer, 3-way conference, do-not-disturb, hunt group, 18 polyphonic ringtones, 200 phone book entries (per handset), message waiting, and multi-language voice prompts. The DP715/710 can be automatically and securely provisioned for easy deployment using TFTP, HTTP/HTTPS, and soon TR069 (pending).
