Doug Hind Named CEO of Precision Valve

Precision Valve Corporation, the global leader in aerosol valves, announced today that Doug Hind has been named President and Chief Executive Officer.

RYE BROOK, NY, August 30, 2012 (Press-News.org) Doug brings twenty years of experience in the packaging industry, including ten years at Rexam Plc; and most recently serving seven years as Chief Operating Officer of Lindal Group.

At Lindal, Doug was responsible for more than doubling the size of that dispensing systems group by opening new manufacturing operations in Argentina, Mexico and the United States and developing new, global accounts with substantial, targeted capital investment to deliver new products to the aerosol market.

John Abplanalp, Chairman of Precision said, "I could not be more proud or excited to have Doug succeed me as CEO. Having competed against Doug for a number of years, I know the respect he commands in our industry. I am delighted to now have him leading the Precision team."

Commenting on his appointment, Doug Hind said: "Precision is the pre-eminent global manufacturer of aerosol valves. I look forward to the opportunity of working with the entire Precision team in delivering the highest quality and most innovative products to our customers on a local and global basis."

In addition, Precision announced that David Evans was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, replacing Curt Solsvig. David has nearly twenty years' experience in operations management. He previously served as Director of Operations for Precision, with a focus on driving efficiencies and improving performance at the company's manufacturing facilities. Prior to joining Precision in 2008, David was Plant Director for Ecomold (Linpac Automotive) where he had P&L responsibility for operations in the U.K. and Europe.

John Abplanalp further commented, "With the demonstrated success and personal character that these two bring to Precision, I am extremely confident in the contribution that both Doug and David can make to the company. Together they will provide exceptional leadership for our teams around the world."
