"I am not a career politician. I am in this race for my family and yours. It's about the kids and ensuring that our High School District provides a top-tier education in a safe environment."

"Education is the key to opportunity for our children, our community, and the future. I will work to enhance the student learning experience with upgraded technology, small class sizes, challenging core curricula, and increased support for struggling students. I will support our teachers with opportunities for professional development and skill workshops so they are more effective in the classroom."

"I believe in the power of education to create opportunity for our children's future, to make their lives more meaningful, and to help our communities prosper."

The Huntington Beach Union High School District is governed by a Board consisting of five members elected by voters within the High School District. The Board provides citizen oversight of the schools within the District.

As part of the filing of his nomination papers, Edward Pinchiff took his oath of affirmation and also filed his official Candidate Statement which states:

As a long-term resident of Huntington Beach raising two future HBHSD students, I want to ensure that our children receive a top-tier college preparatory curriculum and practical vocational training in a safe environment.

I stand for Educational Excellence, a Safe Learning Environment, Sound Fiscal Management, and Government Transparency.

Education is the key to opportunity for our children, our community, and the future.

The State is in a fiscal emergency and every dollar is precious. I will insist on fiscally responsible oversight and protection of your tax dollars. The District must budget responsibly. All spending should be analyzed in terms of its contribution to student learning.

As an advocate for government transparency, I will have an open door and keep parents, students, and the community fully informed.

Our children can't learn if they don't feel safe. I will promote a safe school environment with strong programs to prevent bullying, gang violence, and drug use. Parents deserve to feel secure entrusting a school with the well-being of their child.

I ask for your vote. For more information, go to http://www.edwardpinchiff.com or call 714-989-6005.
