SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY, September 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Michael Conlin, founder and president of Mae Communications, today announced that the Saratoga-based marketing communications firm has welcomed Daniel M. Clements as a partner and will now operate with expanded capabilities as Simpson Square Media Group.
Mae Communications has been serving clients throughout the Capital Region and across the country since being founded in 2001, including KeyBank, Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau and Sterling International. With the addition of Clements, a Sarasota, Fl., transplant with 15 years of experience in web development and search engine optimization, Simpson Square Media Group will focus on branded content creation, new media marketing and web development, as well as a number of internal development projects.
"I've been working with Daniel on client projects for nearly two years, and very early in the process I knew we'd be where we are today," said Conlin. "You just can't do public relations anymore without a deep knowledge of search engine optimization and social media. And it's hard to be successful with search and social media if you can't create compelling content. So our skillsets align perfectly."
Services Simpson Square Media Group provides to clients include: brand development and messaging, web programming and design, new media development, search engine optimization, event planning and public relations.
"We've really hit the ground running...even with some early obstacles," said Clements, who lost his father weeks after Simpson Square opened its office at 360 Broadway in downtown Saratoga Springs. "I'm actually a little surprised at how fast things are moving. We've added some great new clients and have built a lot of strong relationships within the community. "
One such relationship is with Saratoga-based Sage Consulting & Wealth Management, which is using Simpson Square Media Group for logo design, brand materials development and the implementation of a multi-phase online communications strategy.
According to Sage CEO Jason Kurchner, seeking out the guidance of Simpson Square Media Group was "the obvious choice; we looked at their portfolio and were immediately impressed with their fresh perspectives, designs and technological expertise. It was instinct, and I'm thrilled we made the right choice."
In addition to helping clients improve the way they share information and reach their target audience, Simpson Square is in the process of bringing several internal development projects to market, including Joopk, a proprietary content management system for website administrators, and BrandSprouter (brandsprouter.com), an online suite of affordable brand development packages for new and growing businesses.
"This is such an exciting time for us. Daniel and I have shared a few dreams together, about things we could make happen by combining our businesses and aligning our focus, and we're now starting to realize them," said Conlin. "We have a great team. Great clients. We both feel very fortunate."
Simpson Square Media Group currently has six full- and part-time employees.
