ORANGE COUNTY, CA, September 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Tekcetera, a Santa Ana-based technology services provider, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with its 10 Months of Thanks initiative. This endeavor, created to give back to the Orange County community that has supported it for the past decade, has seen the Tekcetera team volunteering at a soup kitchen, donating toys to a local children's hospital, walking for wishes, hosting a cookout for veterans, picking up trash at the beach, mentoring at-risk youth and sending care packages to U.S. troops overseas. For its eighth month, Tekcetera will host an online contest to give one lucky Orange County nonprofit a website makeover.
Starting Saturday, Sept. 1, the community is invited to "like" Tekcetera's Facebook page (www. facebook.com/tekceterainc) and nominate its favorite Orange County-based nonprofit by posting a comment on Tekcetera's Facebook wall to tell the Tekcetera team why that organization deserves to win a website makeover. Nominations will close Friday, Sept. 14, at midnight. The top three nominees will be revealed on Monday, Oct. 1, on Tekcetera's Facebook page. The Tekcetera team will then vote on the winner and announce it on Tuesday, Oct. 2.
"At Tekcetera, we're passionate about not only doing what it takes to ensure technology works every time, but also lending our expertise to help people and organizations that need it," said John S. Pitts, founder and president, Tekcetera, Inc. "By hosting this website makeover contest, we are able to give back to a deserving nonprofit, use our skills to ensure its website operates at the highest-level possible, and open up an online space for people to come together and bring awareness to its cause."
For the last decade, Tekcetera has provided reliable, cost-effective infrastructure solutions, cloud services, managed IT services, Microsoft specialty consulting, Avaya and Cisco telecommunications, web design, ecommerce solutions and more to businesses throughout Orange County. With its 10 Months of Thanks initiative coming to a close, the Tekcetera team will host a wrap party on Thursday, Nov. 15, for friends, family, clients and partnering nonprofits to reflect on and celebrate the past 10 months of thanks.
To nominate a nonprofit for September's website makeover contest, community members are invited to "like" Tekcetera's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/tekceterainc) and leave a comment telling the Tekcetera team why that nonprofit deserves to win.
