Pennsylvania Medical Contract Manufacturer Supports Nationwide Celebration of Manufacturing

2012-09-07
EAGLEVILLE, PA, September 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Inteprod LLC, a Medical Product Contract Manufacturer, is hosting an Open House to celebrate national Manufacturing Day and promote the value of manufacturing to the vibrancy of our economy, and the significant role that manufacturing plays in our daily lives and the future of our region. The Open House will be held at its facility located at 970-200 Rittenhouse Rd, Eagleville, PA on October 5, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Inteprod is an award-winning, innovative, and highly experienced Finished Product Contract Manufacturer providing comprehensive engineering and manufacturing and assembly solutions to the medical and food safety industries. A manufacturing partner to leading medical device makers and emerging innovators worldwide, Inteprod manufactures lifesaving and life changing medical and food safety products that significantly impact and enhance quality of life.

Studies by the nonprofit Manufacturing Institute and others show that almost 80 percent of Americans believe manufacturing is important to our economic prosperity, standard of living, and national security. However, only 30 percent would encourage their children to go into manufacturing as a career. This is a trend that must be reversed.

Manufacturing Day is designed to expand the general public's knowledge about the importance and value of manufacturing to the US economy, and improve the public's perception of manufacturing careers. Manufacturing Day provides a great opportunity for students, parents, educators, media, customers, suppliers, and the local community to tour a manufacturing company and see the value, innovation, and opportunities created by this vital sector.

Manufacturing Day is sponsored by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the U.S. Commerce Department's Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), and the Manufacturing Institute, and supported by dozens of other national and regional manufacturing organizations.

Individuals or groups interested in learning more about Manufacturing Day and signing up for Inteprod's Open House can visit http://www.mfgday.com.
