Beating the Odds: Young Successful Entrepreneurial Woman

Introducing Celebrity Hairstylist Lindsey Carse of Fringe Beverly Hills

2012-09-07
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, September 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) September 5, 2012 - Lindsey Carse was a 15-year-old small town Southern girl who started working at a hair salon in Montana where she simply "just fell in love with hair". Lindsey knew that hair was her calling so she left her small town and headed out West with a big dream of owning her own hair salon in the "Golden Triangle" of streets around Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California.

At 17-years-old, Lindsey enrolled at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica where she learned how to consider the clients' unique features and desires when perceiving their cut and color. These lessons only reinforced Lindsey's love affair with hair and she explains that it is "mostly because I love working with people and I love creating. The most amazing part about my career is that my services provide my clients with instant gratification!"

Right out of the Academy at 18-years-old, Lindsey was hired by Vidal Sassoon Beverly Hills as an apprentice. After finishing her apprenticeship, she decided to work freelance for various rock bands such as the Dave Matthews Band as well as various high-end events such as Macy's Annual Passport fashion show.

After a few years, she decided to move back to Beverly Hills to be apart of what she believes to be, the hair mecca of the world. At age 26, Lindsey launched Fringe Beverly Hills: A Lindsey Carse Salon successfully fighting back against the cutthroat, male-dominated industry by focusing on what she knows best: hair & extensions. Lindsey is known in the salon scene as the go-to for extensions as she expertly weaves in high quality, natural hair extensions that impart sumptuous volume, luxe texture, and goddess glamour. Fringe caters to the 90210 rich and famous including Tori Spelling, Reese Witherspoon, Janice Dickinson, and Jerry Springer to name a few.

Lindsey believes that part of her business success stems from the family-setting culture of her team. "I was looking to hire down to earth, talented, and skilled hair stylists and colorists that were looking to grow together with the salon. No one works for me, they work with me," explains Lindsey. Whether Lindsey is asking her stylists for opinions or advice, she always respects their view and showcases their talents.

Lindsey is the youngest female salon owner in Beverly Hills. How did she manage to beat the odds? "That's simple," says Lindsey, "It's something I always wanted to do."

Too Many Dog Bite Victims in California

2012-09-07
Too Many Dog Bite Victims in California Dogs and dog owners are not all the same. And something similar can be said of dog bite cases. People rarely think the neighbor's dog with the mild disposition will bite, while many people believe an irresponsible owner's aggressive dog will hurt someone at any time. Pets are still animals and pet owners should be held responsible when pets cause harm. California residents experience the breadth and depth of dog bite injuries every year, and too often the victims of dog bites in California are children. Dog bites are serious ...
