New version of SoftProject's successful xsl:easy 4.0 suite

SoftProject has released the newest version of its popular XSL editor xsl:easy.

2010-10-07
ETTLINGEN, GERMANY, October 07, 2010 (Press-News.org) xsl:easy 4.0 provides software developers and non-IT professionals a powerful and user-friendly tool for creating and editing XML data. Its graphical interface and easy handling by drag&drop make it accessible to users with little programming experience, while providing expert users with access to the XSLT code and a choice between two different XSL transformers.

xsl:easy 4.0 comes with a number of bidirectional adapters to facilitate transformations between XML and a variety of different formats (e.g. CSV for excel files).

The new "pipeline" feature, which serves as a graphically defined 'run configurator', makes mapping even easier. Users can select the different elements by drag&drop (input, output, adapters and stylesheet) and then immediately execute the pipeline. A color system indicates to the user if there are any errors, and the results of the last successful step are shown in a preview.

Once the pipeline is complete and functional, it can be exported as a completely executable stand-alone application. This application contains the pipeline as well as all XSL stylesheets, input and output adapters that were defined in the pipeline. It can be integrated into separate Java applications, or can be used to start transformations from the command line. For example, batch transformations or scheduled transformations can be carried out this way.

This combination of features - graphical mapper, pipeline, adapter editor and command line interface - makes xsl:easy 4.0 the tool of choice for creating and editing XML data.
