Red Herring Opens Submissions for European Startups

Red Herring invites technology startups to enter the awards program

LAS VEGAS, NV, October 07, 2010 (Press-News.org) Red Herring, the global media company which unites the world's best technology innovators, venture investors and business decision makers in a variety of forums around the world, is pleased to announce submissions for the 2011 Red Herring 100 Europe awards are now being accepted. Marking its 12th annual conference, the prestigious ceremony will honor the year's most promising private businesses, venture capital firms, and startups in technology.

As the conference serves as a forum to showcase the latest business strategies in the technology industry, winners of the Red Herring awards and finalists who do not make it into the winner's circle will be invited to present their innovative ideas and technologies to an audience of leading investors, entrepreneurs, fanciers, and corporate strategists. The event will also feature keynote addresses from legendary venture capital investors, CEOs and founders of leading Internet, information, and communications companies.

Candidates considered for the award will be technology companies that are privately held and headquartered in the specific geographical region of the corresponding Red Herring 100 award program, and cannot be a previous winner of a Red Herring regional award. Red Herring's editorial team will select finalists based on criteria such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration in their respective industries.

The European awards submission deadline is December 31, 2010. The 100 Winners will be unveiled at the Red Herring 100 awards dinner in Spring 2011.
