Elia created a video explaining the contest and its rules and overall goal of reminding entrepreneurs about the positive qualities that are important in gaining PR, including commitment, optimism, realism, resiliency and others. Entrepreneurs are invited to create a short video explaining how they embody the characteristics Elia identified as being important to public relations.
The first prize winner will receive entry into one of the PR coaching programs led by the firm's founder, Lisa Elia, a PR expert who has spent more than 20 years in the industry and has placed her clients on Oprah, E!, CNN, Cosmopolitan, InStyle, the Wall Street Journal and more. Second and third place winners will choose between the Secrets of PR Success Course (a $997 value) or a ticket to an upcoming Media Training Day hosted by Elia (a $495 value). The videos will be voted on by the world and the Lisa Elia PR team.
Elia's Exposed PR program is geared specifically towards fashion and product designers, while the Get Press, Get Known, Make Money program is geared towards experts, coaches and service providers. Both programs feature live calls with Elia, leads from the media, events where clients can meet members of the media in person, membership to a private online community and much more. The winner on the Win Free PR Contest will be able to choose which program they would like to join.
"The qualities that are highlighted in the Win Free PR contest video, including politeness, commitment, perseverance and others, are important because they help an entrepreneur with their publicity efforts and in business in general," says Elia. Videos may be uploaded to the contest site until October 15. Voting will take place through October 19 and the winners will be announced on October 20.
