SINGAPORE, September 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Infinet Financial Systems (IFS), a leader in the development and application of IP for Trading Room voice, today announced the full market availability of the Adaptive Trading Platform or ATP, its fully-IP based voice solution for the Trading Room.
"I really see this as new way of thinking about voice on the Trading Floor," said Stephen Phillips, CEO of IFS, "The ATP will do all that is expected of a Voice Trading System today and do it well, but the potential to make the business of voice much more powerful is clear."
"We have used IP to full effect," continued Phillips, "the fact that the system is fully distributed and has intelligence at each and every position creates new levels of scalability, new levels of power at the position and new levels of flexibility for a typical deployment.
"I have seen up-close the real business benefit that application of the technology of the ATP will make to Traders, to off -floor users and of course to system managers and IT departments," said Phil Riseley, MD APAC, IFS.
"The solution gives everyone involved with voice many new capabilities," continued Riseley, "the Trader has much more functionality with the range of flex Turrets - a unique deal-ticket link is included as standard, full information on the current call is automatically made live on every Turret and every Trader knows who is on the any line, clearly displayed and is able to use that to collaborate in ways just not possible today. This makes their job easier - as simple as that. We have worked hard to make sometimes complex capabilities easily available, with the minimum of effort - often with a single key press.
"We have not, of course, forgotten the IT manager and have made the ATP easier both to implement and to manage on a day-to-day basis. The spreading of capacity across the system means it can grow or shrink as needed, no part of the system and therefore the IT budget is ever wasted and any part of the ATP can be placed anywhere within the Enterprise at a moments notice and still be part of the whole solution, managed at one place. The ATP has effectively created a 'death of distance' by allowing a single Turret deployment to bring in any part of the Enterprise, no matter how remote.
"The ATP also includes so much more as standard with no extra charge - voice recording, global intercom, and speakers - all saving money from often hard pressed budgets. I expect this solution to make the proposition much more popular very very quickly."
"This is only the start," continued Phillips, "the availability of the SDK soon also means we will be adding a range of applications that really help all users of IFS equipment. Some of these apps I think people will know and like but some I think will cause a stir in the market too."
