BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, September 12, 2012 (Press-News.org) Gerard Burke, a former contestant on the UK version of The Biggest Loser, has recently enrolled on the Personal Fitness Trainer Level 3 course with Open Study College.
After a major success of losing nearly 6 stone (38 kilos) in just 24 weeks on the ITV primetime television show, Gerard is now pursuing his career in the fitness and weight loss industry with a new qualification.
Gerard has now already gained a Level 2 Fitness Instructor certification and additional diplomas in Circuit Training and Thump Boxing, and now looks forward to advancing his skills further with the Personal Fitness Trainer Level 3 course.
He commented: "The main reason I chose the course at Open Study College is because of the course content - it's quite broad, so I can learn a lot of different skills.
"For instance, I can study biomechanics and exercise psychology, but I can also learn the business essentials to get my fitness training company up and running."
He added: "I'm pleased that I can study the course via distance learning, too, as I can study in my spare time around setting up my business."
We are delighted to welcome Gerard as a new Open Study College student and we look forward to hearing of his future successes.
