Super Lawyers Honors Five Attorneys at McKeen & Associates, P.C.

Brian J. McKeen, Euel W. Kinsey and Robert H. Darling named 2012 'Super Lawyers'; Derek J. Brackon and Phillip B. Toutant receive 'Rising Stars' Distinction.

2012-09-24
DETROIT, MI, September 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Five lawyers at McKeen & Associates, P.C., were recently distinguished by Super Lawyers as some of the finest attorneys in Michigan. Super Lawyers is an esteemed rating service that annually honors attorneys who score best in its "rigorous, multiphase rating process."

Brian J. McKeen and Euel W. Kinsey were named on Michigan's Super Lawyers list, an honor bestowed upon only 5 percent of the state's attorneys. Robert H. Darling, of counsel at McKeen & Associates, was also named a Super Lawyer -- for the fifth straight year. The inclusion of McKeen, Kinsey and Darling is not surprising, and it symbolizes another year of elite representation provided by the trio and entire law firm.

Derek J. Brackon and Phillip B. Toutant were also recognized by Super Lawyers, which designated them as "Rising Stars." Attorneys honored as Rising Stars must be younger than 41 or have practiced law for 10 years or less. Only a maximum of 2.5 percent of Michigan attorneys meeting these requirements are selected as Rising Stars.

"I would like to thank Euel, Robert, Derek and Phillip for their outstanding contributions to our law firm and -- more importantly -- our clients," said McKeen, the founding partner of McKeen & Associates, P.C. "On behalf of the four of us, I'd like to thank both Super Lawyers and our peers for recognizing our dedication to providing elite legal representation in Michigan."

Super Lawyers uses a complex selection process to determine who is named a Super Lawyer or Rising Star. It considers an array of factors, including verdicts/settlements, representative clients, experience, honors/awards, community service and special licenses/certifications. The selection process for the Super Lawyers distinction also involves a peer evaluation process.
