The website stands to play a rather large role in CoupSmart's business going forward. In addition to easy navigation and a simplified pricing structure, the back-end system now provides agencies and do-it-yourselfers with an assortment of tutorials and additional content intended to make each social campaign a success. "Initially, our website functioned mostly as a place where potential clients could get a quick overview of our offerings before requesting more information", says CoupSmart Founder/CEO Blake Shipley. "Over time, needs and opportunities have changed, and we want to maintain a focus on the user experience. Our objective with this redesign is twofold: to convert more leads through a clear explanation of our revenue-generating social apps, and to make it easy for clients to fully manage campaigns from the device of their choosing."
Design team captain Andrew Murray had this to say: "We approached the new website with simplicity and usability in the front of our minds. We kept the pages clean and free of clutter, so the eye will be drawn to a specific image or text field. The colors are used sparingly to bring attention where we want it. Lastly, we implemented responsive design technology, so our clients can have the best experience with our system no matter what they are using to access it."
The website is now fully optimized for mobile viewing, with responsive design delivering the same look and functionality to tablet users that they would enjoy on the desktop version. Over time, CoupSmart plans to A/B test certain features to make sure those that are performing best will be made permanent. The company will also be adding more video content, and expanding its back-end resource center for clients in the near future.
