RALEIGH, NC, September 28, 2012
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, a nonprofit social services agency serving the people of Eastern North Carolina, welcomed two new board members during a meeting of the Board of Directors in August. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge installed Patrick Brown and Brother Virgil Siefker, GHM, as new board members at a Mass preceding the meeting.Brown resides in Bath and is a parishioner at Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Washington.
Siefker resides in Windsor and is a member of the Catholic Community of Bertie County.
"We always seek board members with a diversity of skills, experience and geographic representation. Pat and Brother Virg each bring a wealth of experience in serving their communities and a perspective on the needs of those who live in poverty and ways to respond to those needs. We look forward to working with them during their terms on the board," said Kathleen Walsh, ACSW, diocesan director of Catholic Charities.
Charlie Lorelli of Chapel Hill will continue as board chair for 2012-2013 and Germaine Angel Daly of Pinehurst will continue as vice chair.
