ATLANTA, GA, September 28, 2012 (Press-News.org) Der Biergarten kicks off the second week of their three week Oktoberfest celebration with Barks and Beer on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Grab your dogs and join the party on Restaurant Row in the Luckie Marietta District from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Activities include beer pong, shuffle board, foosball and beer tastings. Barking Hound Village will be onsite with doggie treats and other fun giveaways for guests and their pets. There will also be a 50/50 raffle benefiting the Georgia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Der Biergarten's Oktoberfest celebration starts September 20, 2012 and lasts three weeks through October 7, 2012. Activities are planned daily including beer specials, contests, Tweet-Ups and more.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, a nonprofit social services agency serving the people of Eastern North Carolina, welcomed two new board members during a meeting of the Board of Directors in August. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge installed Patrick Brown and Brother Virgil Siefker, GHM, as new board members at a Mass preceding the meeting.
