Psycho-Musicology Proves the Power of Music to Heal

On her website, Oprah Winfrey took time to discuss medical treatments that once seemed far fetched, including the use of music and its power to heal. Musicology is now becoming a mainstay tool in providing health care beyond surgery and medicine.

2012-09-29
LOS ANGELES, CA, September 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Understanding and educating people on the many benefits of music therapy, Dr. Joe Vitale has created a growing catalog of music that heals. Recently releasing his 4th CD in just 18 months of recording, the self-help singer and songwriter's passion about the power of music to heal has never been more evident. Taking every step to ensure a top quality recording, Vitale has brought his songs to Nashville to record with some of the music industry's top talents. The result is a powerful 11 track CD that inspires positive health throughout the entire human body. It is called "The Healing Song."

Dr. John Ortiz, one of Psycho-Musicology's top authorities, spoke to Dr. Oz on the OWN Network about music's power to heal. Ortiz stated, "Music has an affect on mood-recovery and energy. Together, with an eclectic assortment of traditional strategies, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral, it can drastically improve a patient's health."

Vitale has expressed his passion for Healing Music in the catalog of titles he has recorded. Each album contains songs that concur with rhythms known to initiate an upbeat system of energy in the human body. The CDs promote blood flow and activity, positive energy stimulation. Coupled with inspiring lyrical content and memorable harmonies, each of the songs provides the benefit of keeping the spirit high and promoting the body to heal pain and injury.

Dr. Oz states, "To date, there is evidence that music therapy can reduce high blood pressure, depression and sleeplessness. In Alzheimer's patients, music therapy was shown to significantly reduce anxiety and aggression. While there are no claims that music therapy can directly cure diseases like cancer, medical professionals believe that music can reduce certain symptoms, help with healing, improve physical movement and enrich a patient's overall quality of life."

Dr. Joe Vitale has spent the past 18 months sharing his knowledge of healing music and its amazing power to heal. Diligently working to write and record complete albums that focus on the proven techniques of healing music, Vitale has now released four albums in his catalog of music titles. Each title is available for sampling at the following websites:
