AUSTIN, TX, October 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Careers, Access, Recovery, Entrepreneurship are the main components of BiGAUSTIN's first annual BiG HealthCARE Opportunities Summit, which takes place Thursday, November 1st starting at 9am at Seton Administration Office Auditorium. The BiG HealthCARE Opportunities Summit will be an all-day event involving several members of the Austin communit y coming together to help launch the first event of BiGAUSTIN's Small Business @ Work Series. The BiG HealthCARE Opportunities Summit will educate and inform women and veterans about advancements, changes and opportunities within the healthcare Industry through panel discussions, breakout sessions, and workshops.
This event will offer participants the opportunity to gather information on HealthCARE and network with various community members and stakeholders. Participants will learn about available self-emplo yment as a CAREER within the healthcare community, have ACCESS to healthcare providers, be able to attend economic RECOVERY breakout sessions for personal needs, and learn what every ENTREPRENUER should know about the new policies, healthcare acts and how these initiatives will affect their day to day business.
Tickets for the event are $10 for Veterans and $20 for general admission for the first 200 people to register. Vendor applications are available to entrepreneurs who wish to advertise their businesses at this event.
"The goal for the BiG HealthCARE Opportunities Summit is to raise awareness among women regarding the abundance of opportunities and resources necessary to initiate and grow women- owned businesses in Central Texas and to recognize the immediate healthcare needs of Veteran women and the vacuum that exists in meeting their healthcare needs," states Stacy Dukes-Rhone, Executive Director of BiGAUSTIN.
