About Michael Fernandez Family Dentistry: A solo practitioner, Dr. Michael Fernandez assumed the practice of a retiring dentist and has since modernized the facilities in 2004. He is a native of North Carolina and graduated from Duke University in 1994 and the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 2000. After completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program with the Navy, he served for three years on board the USS Ronald Reagan until 2004. Dr. Fernandez is the President of the Tidewater Dental Association and provides patients with services including teeth whitening, dental crowns, CEREC and more. He is also a member of the Young Alumni Council at the dental school and a member of several local study clubs.
