Amir Najam of Seattle: SAP Seeking to Enhance User Experience

Recently, SAP introduced a new on-demand platform that allows for real-time insight regarding performance management. SAP Functional Analyst Amir Najam of Seattle responds to this new technology.

2012-10-04
PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) According to a recent article from ZDNet, "SAP has introduced a new method designed to offer real-time insight and 'break down barriers' to understanding user engagement with an on-demand approach." ZDNet reveals that the announcement was made during the SAP BusinessObjects User Conference in Orlando, Florida, held last week. It states, "the SAP Enterprise Performance Management OnDemand platform is built upon the SAP HANA application cloud as well as other mobile and in memory solutions to offer real-time insights from anywhere for the purpose of being able to retool strategies on-the-fly." As an experienced SAP professional, Amir Najam, Seattle resident, offers his thoughts on the development.

Seattle's Amir Najam comments, "From everything that I have seen and heard, HANA is the analytics engine of the future that will allow customers to create ad-hoc reports at lightning speed. Being able to access information at your fingertips literally in seconds that in some instances would take hours to access will provide SAP's customers with tremendously improved productivity levels."

In addition to the noted convenience of the HANA application, the article reveals that the on-demand element should help users decrease the amount of time spent on implementing and maintaining "new applications being integrated with existing on-premise systems." The versatility of the latest development is described to offer "support from the iPad to add-ins for Microsoft Office."

SAP also announced that the company plans to restructure pricing for its solutions, something that Amir Najam of Seattle expects users will appreciate. The article explains, "The use of cloud-based apps would also cut back on upfront costs because the business management software provider is offering the option of subscribing to pay-as-you-go software delivered as a service."

While SAP is reported to strive to offer continuous developments by "promising to add more targeted apps in the future on a frequent basis," Amir Najam of Seattle explains that SAP is already at the top of its market. He concludes, "This cutting edge technology has leveraged SAP in a position to where there is no competition in analytics gathering from any ERP system in the world. Once again, SAP proves they are heads and shoulders above the rest."
