Villa Plus Reduces Booking Deposits While Others are Raising Their Terms

Villa Plus has announced that it will reduce its booking deposits to 10% for villa bookings or GBP100 per person for package holiday bookings.

2010-10-09
HERTFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND, October 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Villa Plus has announced that at a time when other villa operators are increasing their terms, it will be reducing its booking deposit requirement to 10% for villa only bookings or GBP100 per person for package holiday bookings*.

In a fragile economy, where big ticket items like holidays can seem expensive, Villa Plus wanted to make it easier for customers to book their holiday early, yet still get value for money. So, in contrast to other villa operators, the company has decided to decrease the amount customers are required to pay when they book their holiday.

"We wanted to make it easier for our customers, many of whom are families, to book their holiday early and secure their favourite villa. We're hoping the lower booking deposit will help our customers to budget if they need to," commented Nick Cooper, Villa Plus director and founder.

This won't be the first time Villa Plus has thought differently. As tour operators struggled last year, Villa Plus rebranded and made significant improvements to its website which lead to a widespread sales increase for 2010. This has helped place Villa Plus in a strong financial position for 2011, ultimately enabling it to reduce the booking deposits against the general trend.

Notes to editors:
*Some airlines may charge full fare up front, so prices may vary depending on airline chosen. Also, package holiday deposits are subject to an additional statutory ATOL contribution of GBP2.50 per person.
