Park West Gallery Partners with Local Community Groups Committed to Helping Those In Need

Park West Gallery donates to Calvary Chapel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL through its Park West Gallery CARES initiative.

2010-10-09
MIAMI, FL, October 09, 2010 (Press-News.org) Park West Gallery recently made a significant donation of brand new clothing to Calvary's Chapel in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida as part of its ongoing Park West Gallery CARES philanthropic initiative.

More than half of U.S. states saw their unemployment rates rise in August; two of those states most significantly affected have been Michigan and Florida. Through Park West Gallery CARES, Park West Gallery is dedicated to improving the lives of those in need in Michigan, Florida and in many other communities both domestic and international.

"Park West Gallery answered Calvary Chapel's "Don't Just Stand There . . . DO Something" initiative with their generous donation of brand new clothing and home goods for the homeless and needy of Broward County that take refuge in our Outreach Ministry program. We currently have three locations serving those less fortunate with food, clothing and shelter," says Calvary's Pastor Bob.

Park West Gallery also donated to Calvary Chapel's Second Chance Thrift Store. "Sales from the thrift store go directly towards supporting the thousands of children and families in our communities. As unemployment continues to creep upwards, more and more of South Florida's unemployed are reaching out to local community organizations, like ours, for aid," added Pastor Bob. "We are truly grateful to partner with Park West Gallery in our collective goal to serve the people and community we live in."

"Since its inception, Park West Gallery CARES has received an overwhelmingly positive response from the charities we've partnered with. We are continuing our commitment to help those organizations dedicated to serving those in need," said Albert Scaglione, founder and CEO of Park West Gallery. "All of the organizations Park West Gallery selected to collaborate with provide a valuable service to their local communities, and we are honored to be able to help them by giving back in this way."

2010-10-09
One of the many headaches associated with Medicare may soon be coming to an end. This past March, a bill was proposed in the House of Representatives that would make the process of reimbursing Medicare for health care expenses paid by a secondary source more efficient. This means that victims of personal injury would no longer have to wait for Medicare to send its reimbursement claim before they can be compensated after a judgment or settlement. Currently, if a person is injured in an accident and Medicare pays for his or her medical expenses, the individual will be ...

How Property is Allocated Upon Divorce Under Florida Law

How Property is Allocated Upon Divorce Under Florida Law
2010-10-09
In Florida, the property and debt distribution issues raised during a divorce are often settled between the parties in a marital settlement agreement. When parties are unable to reach an agreement, however, a Florida court must step in to divide a couple's assets and liabilities. Even though many property settlements are hammered out outside the courtroom, the factors judges use in dividing property affect the relative strength of each side's bargaining position. Accordingly, understanding how a court allocates property upon the dissolution of a marriage is essential for ...
