Membership in the nonpartisan CLM is by invitation only. The alliance promotes and furthers the highest standards of claims and litigation management by sponsoring workshops and continuing legal education courses, in addition to other educational opportunities. Alliance members include risk and litigation managers, insurance and claims executives, corporate counsel, outside counsel and third-party vendors.

"The educational opportunities that the Alliance provides to lawyers - both for corporate counsel and outside counsel alike - are invaluable," says Mr. Chamblee, managing partner of Chamblee, Ryan, Kershaw & Anderson, P.C. "The exchange of ideas among CLM's 20,000 members helps educate lawyers on how to reduce their clients' exposure to a wide range of litigation, from dram shop cases, to malpractice claims, to slip-and-fall disputes."

To participate in the group's programs, attorneys must complete two hours of CLM-developed continuing legal education courses annually in the area of litigation management training.

In his 25 years as a trial lawyer, Mr. Chamblee has worked as a tireless advocate for insurance companies, physicians, private business owners and others facing liability claims. Since 1998, Mr. Chamblee and his team at Chamblee, Ryan, Kershaw & Anderson have represented more than 500 health care providers against medical malpractice charges and have secured favorable jury verdicts in a vast majority of the cases they've taken to court. Mr. Chamblee has won more than 130 jury verdicts and case dismissals for his clients, which include insurance companies, physician practice groups, transportation firms, private business owners and health care providers.
