Krave To Host Annual VIPink Halloween Charity Event For Breast Cancer

Downtown Raleigh Restaurant To Hold Private Fundraiser For Pretty In Pink Foundation

2012-10-11
RALEIGH, NC, October 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Krave (http://www.kraveraleigh.com), a downtown Raleigh-based restaurant with contemporary lounge style flair, has announced that it will host the VIPink Halloween Charity Event, a private cocktail charity event in which all proceeds will be donated to the Pretty In Pink Foundation to fight breast cancer, on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event will include a Halloween costume competition where the first place winner will receive $1,000 that will be donated to the breast cancer charity of his or her choice. Tickets for the event cost $10 and include contest entrance and complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

Krave Raleigh has partnered with Rapid Fitness, the Triangle's leading gym and fitness center, for the event, and the fitness center will donate $5 to the Pretty In Pink Foundation for every new member who joins any of the three Rapid Fitness locations for the month of October. The gym will offer five one-year memberships to Rapid Fitness to the contestant who finishes second place in the costume competition to share with his or her business associates, friends or family.

The Pretty In Pink Foundation serves people diagnosed with breast cancer who have limited health insurance benefits, or in many cases, no health insurance at all. Typically, these people do not qualify for government funded or assisted programs. When breast cancer is present and medical insurance is not enough, care is delayed or simply not ever received because of cost barriers. Once diagnosed with breast cancer, many people experience financial hardships in trying to keep up with paying for quality treatment. Oftentimes this is simply because they are choosing between breast cancer treatment and quality of life needs like shelter and food.

For more information or to purchase tickets, visit http://www.kraveraleigh.com or http://www.rapidfitness.com.

QUOTES:
"We are excited to host this charity event and to donate to such an influential organization," said Michael Rattenni, Krave co-owner. "Come visit even if you are not wearing a costume - we expect a great turnout and support for this event, and we will provide guests with a fun evening. We are happy to do all that we can to help organizations who are striving to beat breast cancer."
