To help baseball enthusiasts follow their team on the road to the World Series, Ford is offering a free download of the app during the 2012 postseason.
Ford's SYNC AppLink allows drivers to control compatible mobile apps while driving. Through the system, the driver can choose applications while keeping their eyes on the road by using either their voice or radio commands on the steering wheel. SYNC AppLink is available on select vehicles at Cambridge Classic Ford, including the 2013 Fiesta and Mustang and the 2012 Fusion, Expedition, F-150, and Super Duty.
The MLB At Bat app is available on iPhone and iPod devices. The application is compatible with Ford AppLink, and once downloaded, the driver of a Ford can use simple voice commands to access just about anything they would want to know about baseball, including live broadcasts of games. During the 2012 post season, Ford is offering fans the opportunity to download the app for free.
