MISSION, TX, October 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Russo's New York Pizzeria, known for its authentic Italian food and real New York style pizza, is continuing to make big strides in the Italian segment with the opening of its newest restaurant in Mission, Texas.
Local entrepreneur, David Martinez, is opening the new restaurant to guests on Oct. 15, 2012, at 201 South Shary Road in Mission. Martinez, who also owns two other Russo's locations in McAllen and Corpus Christi and has plans for a fourth location in Harlingen, Texas, is excited to bring the concept to the town where he grew up.
"I've been involved with the Russo's brand for several years now, and I couldn't be happier to bring the concept to Mission," Martinez said. "Guests can enjoy our relaxed dining atmosphere all day. It's the perfect option for lunch with co-workers or dinner with your family."
The new opening in Mission is part of a nationwide expansion plan to open four additional restaurants throughout the U.S. this year.
"David Martinez operates some of our best performing franchise locations and we have no doubt that his newest restaurant in Mission will share the same success," said Anthony Russo, founder of Russo's New York Pizzeria and Russo's Coal Fired Italian Kitchen. "We're excited to continue growing the Russo's brand with him."
Russo's menu offers traditional Northern and Southern Italian favorites, with the company's classic New York style pizzas headlining the offerings. Recipes dating back to Chef Anthony's grandparents are featured, including fresh pastas such as Gnocchi Bolognese, seafood and chicken dishes such as Chicken Picatta and Past Di Mare, and delectable desserts including handcrafted Italian Cannolis. All items are made-from-scratch daily with fresh, premium ingredients.
The 3,500 square foot restaurant is creating about 40 new jobs and will be open every day of the week for dine-in, takeout and catering.
