GARDEN GROVE, CA, October 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Leah Cecil, the reigning Miss California, has selected a 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI as her vehicle of choice. Miss Cecil was crowned on June 30th in Fresno, California and will represent California in the Miss America pageant being held in Las Vegas, Nevada this coming January 12th on ABC.
Miss Cecil, a Garden Grove resident, received her VW Passat TDI at a Homecoming Celebration held by the City of Garden Grove. Mike Ernst, the Executive Vice President of Volkswagen of Garden Grove, attended the celebration and presented Miss California with the keys to her new Passat TDI. Volkswagen of Garden Grove will provide Miss Cecil the use of the vehicle during her reign as Miss California.
Miss Cecil's vehicle, the 2013 Volkswagen Passat TDI, is manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee at the Volkswagen Group of America's new $1 billion LEED-aggressive assembly plant. The VW Passat TDI uses clean diesel fuel and advanced engineering to achieve up to 43 miles per gallon with a driving range of up to 795 miles. VW's clean diesel vehicles meet the strictest EPA standards in the US and provide fuel-efficient and eco-conscious vehicles.
