SHUTESBURY, MA, October 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) Flutronix merge technology with 21st-century chamber music in an entirely unique form of composition rooted in influences as diverse as Steve Reich, Radiohead, Terry Riley and Aphex Twin. With their classical flute and loop-based music, Nathalie Joachim and Allison Loggins-Hull have captured the future sounds of classical. This self-titled debut is the product of years spent studying, writing, rehearsing and performing concerts all over New York City, where the duo have established themselves among the city's burgeoning independent-classical scene.

Featuring Shahla Atlas at The Cell

In their live performances, the duo pay tribute to the groundbreaking works of their predecessors by reinterpreting composers who have pioneered new bodies of literature that expand the language of the flute. Their original compositions comfortably navigate daring forms of popular, experimental, and contemporary classical music while implementing electronics and digital effects.
