Baskets-n-Beyond, a Local New Jersey Business Gets Exclusive Deal with Author Jon D'Amore

Baskets-n-Beyond signs exclusive deal with author Jon D'Amore to create gift baskets for his new book "The Boss Always Sits in the Back". Each basket will included a signed copy of the author's book.

2012-10-16
DUMONT, NJ, October 16, 2012 (Press-News.org) Michele Petrillo, owner of Baskets-n-Beyond, 103 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ, and Jon D'Amore, author of the recently released Mafia novel, THE BOSS ALWAYS SITS IN THE BACK, have created THE BOSS Gift Baskets.

The three new gift baskets created by Baskets-n-Beyond are centered around D'Amore's novel based on the true story of New Jersey's more colorful and well-known "guys" during the last great days of what some people called The Cosa Nostra.

THE BOSS ALWAYS SITS IN THE BACK tells of Jon's relationship with his cousin/Godfather Jerry. Not interested in working for one of "the families," Jon becomes a musician. However, an invitation to spend his twenty-second birthday in Las Vegas with Jerry leads Jon to become part of a scam that funnels millions of dollars out of several casinos; a scam that would go down in history and change gambling legislation across the United States.

When he is summoned by mob boss Rocco Casiano, Jon's knowledge of recording techniques saves The Boss from 40 years in prison. Suddenly, Jon is christened the honorary Godson of The Boss. While Jon longs to go back to his career in music, The Boss's fears turn into paranoia, which then turns into cold-blooded murder...and Jon is there throughout it all.

Reviews for THE BOSS have been nothing short of astounding, and Hollywood is already courting the book and its author for the rights to produce a major feature film.

The centerpiece of each gift basket is a signed first edition of THE BOSS ALWAYS SITS IN THE BACK, and is filled with deliciously imported Italian treats. The baskets make great Get Well, Happy Birthday, Happy Hanukkah and Thanks For Not Breaking My Kneecap gifts!

Oh! And let's not forget "Boss Appreciation Day" on October 16th!

D'Amore, who was awarded with May 24th as JON D'AMORE DAY by his home town of Union City, NJ, will be returning to New Jersey and New York for a promo tour of THE BOSS. He is currently scheduled to appear at the Secaucus Library on November 8th (where he appeared before two SRO crowds last May), Well Read Bookstore in Hawthorne on the 9th, the Ridgefield Library on the 10th, and several other locations in New Jersey and New York between November 11th and the 19th. Several TV and radio appearances are also booked during the tour.

Baskets-n-Beyond has been creating gift baskets since 1993 in Dumont, NJ, and is proud to be working with Jon on these special gift baskets. Michele Petrillo, owner of Baskets-n-Beyond, says she has already had numerous orders for THE BOSS Gift Baskets and anticipates they will be the #1 seller for the upcoming Boss Appreciation Day. To place an order go to www.baskets-n-beyond or call 201-384-7575.
