CHICAGO, IL, October 17, 2012 (Press-News.org) Windy City native, veteran Roller Derby star and Sink or Swim Owner, Kate Sanderson, blended everything she is passionate about to design a line of hot rod-inspired bags in her Logan Square home studio nearly a year ago. As she stitched each bag by hand at her Cadillac logo-embossed coffee table, she envisioned herself one day launching a handbag label that is completely hand crafted in Chicago, with locally purchased materials. After little time and a lot of work, the "Hero Line" was born, and proudly raised in Sanderson's hometown, Chicago.
Exactly one year after the Sink or Swim label was designed, Sanderson, will officially launch the company's best-selling, "Hero Line" to the public. Everything from messenger bags to makeup bags and wallets will be on display for attendees to see, touch and try on. All products from this line are appropriately named after various neighborhoods throughout the city.
The Official Sink or Swim Launch Party will take place at Lincoln Park's retro-style bar and restaurant, the Drinkingbird at 2201 N. Clybourn Ave. on October 18, 2012 at 8:00 pm. Andersonville-based, Koval Boutique Whiskey Distillery, will sponsor the event, offering exclusive specialty cocktails throughout the night to compliment the funky and soulful sounds of DJ PalmDown Sound.
