NEW YORK, NY, October 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) VeeWall Vocals is a groundbreaking new vocal performance competition, featuring original, uploaded performances from ordinary people. VeeWall.com, an online platform for user-generated video media, is sponsoring this contest. The winner will be decided by fan voting and will take home a check for $100,000.
Entering the competition is simple. Contest entrants must create a VeeWall account, enter their birth data and state of residence, and accept the site's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Contest instructions and an entry form are located at http://www.veewall.com/vocals. Participants are advised to read the content rules and regulations at http://www.veewall.com/popups/rules.aspx. The $100,000 prize is without restrictions or gimmicks attached. The winner takes all.
The VeeWall.com Vocals contest seeks original vocal performances. No cover songs or otherwise copyrighted material is acceptable. The contest also prohibits layered, altered or auto-tuned vocals. The uploaded performance must be no more than three minutes long and contain the voice and image of only one person - the contest entrant. The video must have been made exclusively for the VeeWall Vocals contest and not used for any previous contest or promotion.
Legal residents of the United States, except Florida, aged 15 or older at the time of entry are eligible to participate. The entry period for the competition runs from October 22 through December 9. Voting takes place from December 10 through March 22. Contest entrants are encouraged to drum up support for their videos through all available social media channels. Total vote count will be the sole determination in selecting a winner.
Contest voting is open to all registered users of VeeWall.com. Votes are limited to one per person and per email address, per day for each submitted video. Automated voting or any other form of vote manipulation is prohibited. In the unlikely event of a tie, the contest sponsor will cast the deciding vote.
The mission of the VeeWall Vocals contest is to reward exceptional but previously unknown talent. The recent explosion of social media has made this kind of grassroots talent scouting possible. Rather than traveling to a distant audition, which requires an investment of time and money, VeeWall Vocals lets users show off their skills without leaving their home. The rules of the contest ensure that each entrant displays their natural abilities. An extended voting period gives participants an opportunity to build interest and buzz around their entry.
"Our mission is to provide vocalists an outlet to showcase their talents without the drama and story lines that other competitions so heavily rely on," said CEO Cory Kwon. "The music world has evolved to a 'do it yourself' attitude and VeeWall Vocals will push talented performers to market their original content to America. The beauty of this competition is that everyone has a chance."
In addition to the singing competition, VeeWall.com provides a secure hosting environment for a variety of user-generated video content. Users can upload anything from funny kids moments to their own music or news videos. VeeWall merely asks that users refrain from uploaded copyrighted material.

These initiatives were intended to not only increase safety for ...

For example, mortgages guaranteed by the Federal Housing Administration are permitted one year ...

Florida Sinkhole Insurance Rates are Rising
2012-10-18
Florida sinkholes continue to claim homes across the state. In what Harley Means of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection calls a "perfect storm," rainwater from recent Tropical Storm Debby combined with Florida's drought conditions have created conditions ripe for sinkholes. Unfortunately, the heightened sinkhole conditions are working against home and business owners trying to protect their property and structures as sinkhole insurance rates are approved to increase.
Sinkholes are the product of the limestone and calcium carbonate rock that ...

Will You Lose Anything if You File a Bankruptcy?
The classic legal answer to that question applies: It depends. Generally, you will not "lose anything," but the exact answer depends on your particular circumstance and the type of bankruptcy you file.
Exemptions

The amounts and type of items you can protect with exemptions vary by state, and ...

SSDI Policy Change Could Impede Disability Appeals
Obtaining Social Security Disability Insurance benefits for a disabled Minnesotan can be a lengthy process. If the initial claim for SSDI benefits is denied, the disabled person starts an appeal by submitting a request for reconsideration.
Next, a State Disability Determination Services office reviews the application and generates a new determination. If the claimant is still determined to be ineligible for SSDI benefits, the next step is to request a hearing to be conducted by an Administrative Law Judge.
