Maricopa County Selects Accent to Facilitate Tax Assessment Software Project

The size and complexity of the county led Maricopa to search for specialist consulting firms to support the project. Maricopa selected Accent, a company with extensive tax assessment software consulting experience.

2012-10-18
VANCOUVER, WA, October 18, 2012 (Press-News.org) With 1.6 million real and personal property parcels and a total assessed value of over $320 billion, Maricopa County is the fourth largest county (in terms of population) in the United States. Maricopa's size and growth drive a need for powerful software to streamline and automate workflows.

The size and complexity of the county led Maricopa to conduct a search for specialist consulting firms to support the project. After a thorough evaluation process, Maricopa selected Accent, a company with extensive tax assessment software consulting experience.

"As an independent consulting firm which specializes in business analysis and system recommendations for tax assessment jurisdictions, Accent is well-positioned to support us in this process. They have no affiliation with any Mass Appraisal Software providers."

- Maricopa County IT Project Manager

Maricopa's initial goal is to thoroughly analyze business processes and requirements, and evaluate "buy" or "build" alternatives to replace their current system. Accent's consultants have begun working closely with Maricopa staff from multiple departments to ensure a successful project outcome.

About Accent
Based in Vancouver, Washington, Accent provides information technology consulting to public agencies and utilities. Accent's services include business case justification, RFP development, vendor and product evaluation, contract negotiation and project management support.
