2012-10-20
LAS VEGAS, NV, October 20, 2012 (Press-News.org) Amped Software (www.ampedsoftware.com) will be present at the Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association (LEVA) 2012 Annual Training Conference (www.leva.org) on October 22-26, 2012 at the BAHIA Hotel in San Diego, California. Amped will be demonstrating and showcasing the new 2012 version of their popular Amped Five Professional forensic video enhancement software. Amped will also present VideoScanner, its latest product for forensic video e-discovery, a tool which can save hours to investigators while looking for video files as evidence. A VideoScanner tool has also been donated as a prize to LEVA for their drawing, so it is something not to miss and you need to be present to win.

Participants to the conference will also have the exclusive possibility to have a preview of Amped Authenticate, the newest Amped project which is pushing the cutting edge of research and technology for digital image forensics.

"Training conferences like LEVA are very important for us. At a focused show like LEVA, we have the unique possibility to be in touch with our actual end users and meet with world class forensic video analysts from all over the world." said EJ Ord, Director of US sales from Amped Software. "Here we can present our technology to experts who can fully understand its potential to help them do their job and they can give concrete feedback for its further improvement. For this reason we are presenting not only our popular Amped Five software for forensic video analysis, but also our latest projects and current research for products in the pipeline."

"With VideoScanner we created a very simple tool which can save hours looking and inspecting video files in digital forensic cases. VideoScanner allows the investigator to quickly extract few representative frames to all the videos found on a device for an efficient and scientific forensic inspection. As a bonus it adds several evidence chain of custody tools, such as the possibility to calculate the hash code on all the analyzed files and the automatic creation of the analysis report." said Martino Jerian, Amped Software's CEO. "We are even more excited to present the preview the of our new Amped Authenticate project" added Jerian, "Authenticate will incorporate an innovative workflow concept into a ground-breaking software tool for image authentication within a feature-packed, but easy to use, user experience. We see this as a critical tool for prosecutors and investigators in states such as California in light of the recent Beckley court ruling that set the requirement to authenticate digital evidence (http://ampedsoftware.com/videoscanner). Authenticate will provide several tools for evaluating the originality of an image, the possible presence of manipulation and verify or disqualify the device in custody and allegedly used to take the photo. We are combining several different current techniques in a more efficient way, from metadata analysis to actual pixel value inspections and adding several new techniques that are on the vanguard of our current research."

Amped Five Professional 2012 and VideoScanner are available now from Amped Software and authorized Amped Software resellers and partners. Authenticate is currently undergoing trials with select government agencies and military units and will be available for law enforcement agency sales in 2013. A detailed overview on each product is available on the company website http://www.ampedsoftware.com

At LEVA, Amped Software will be in booth 122 in the main exhibit hall. Amped software will offer a free fully functional VideoScanner tool for the LEVA Door Prize Drawing and will be conducting some product demonstrations at the booth.

Red Raspberries Pest Solutions' Plant-Based Mice Elimination Method

2012-10-20
Mechanical mice elimination is what it sounds: noisy, messy, cold, disgusting. Various traps are used and prayer might be involved as some mice are too smart to get caught. As for those caught...everyone (homeowners, techs, mice) hates that day as some need to discard the losers caught (techs), some might see the casualties (homeowners) and some will curse the trap manufacturer (mice). Besides...traps are like the Army says: "one shot, one kill" so a family of mice will require 6-8 traps if elimination is desired quick. Who wants a basement full of traps? Chemical ...
