Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation Plans to Rock the Economy with Sports-Entertainment-Leisure Division and GA-II
2010-10-11
NEW YORK, NY, October 11, 2010 (Press-News.org) Today, Dr. William Hyatt Gordon, LEED-AP, 41, announced that he has spent the vast majority of the summer of 2010 repositioning Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation, in a plan called GA-II, which expands the firm from its current markets of France, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States to include Canada, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland. While Gordon Atlantic Development continues to serve all fifty (50) states, the firm will now include Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, as focus markets alongside of New York, New York; Newark, New Jersey; Metropolitan Miami; and Metropolitan Washington.

GA-II also narrows the firm's concentration to three (3) areas Sports-Entertainment-Leisure (SEL); Medical Facilities Development; and Senior Care Development. GA-II also envisions the development of Gordon Atlantic Development Foundation with its home office near Gordon Atlantic Development Switzerland, in Zug, Switzerland. Gordon Atlantic Development Foundation is planned to support Gordon Atlantic Development Foundation in the Gordon Atlantic Development markets in Canada, France, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation has repositioned its financial structure as well; concentrating most project finance activities into economic development private placement project funds set-up between Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation and partners. The partners and Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation enter into joint venture arrangements to pursue private placement project finance for economic development purposes via asset-backed paper trade and split proceeds, which Gordon Atlantic Development invests in economic development real estate projects or contributes to Gordon Atlantic Development Foundation, and has therefore, eliminated partner equity in the traditional real estate development sense. "In a nutshell," Gordon Atlantic Development has created its own closed private equity funds.

William Hyatt Gordon spent the vast majority of the summer planning Sports-Entertainment-Leisure, and associated museum components as well as establishing partners within the economic development private placement project funding opportunities. He has sought to work with public-private partnerships, particularly in Indonesia, or with governments directly in many African countries. He spent most of New York's "August Dog Days", working in his London office, and establishing Gordon Atlantic Development Switzerland. Aside from setting up GA-II, he has been planning for the launch of GA-II. While the funding of GA-II is weeks away, the public launch is months away, and will incorporate a completely rebranded corporate profile made possible by the British creative industry recognized, Blue Crayon, under the direction of Barrett James-Veldsman. The rebranding will include a new website that gets local by language adding Scots, Spanish, and Swiss German to English and French.

Gordon has been working behind the scenes on a launch event that includes invitations to the economic development agencies of all fifty (50) American states, Puerto Rico, Canada, France, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Gordon has set up a budget that will attempt to include a world leader, include bands, a major New York museum venue, and an after party. William Hyatt Gordon has been greatly concerned with the state of the economy and has led the way in strategizing for slow-growth private sector-initiated projects to stimulate the economies within the countries that are considered Gordon Atlantic markets with the aim to gradually replace government-based stimulus programs, and return Western economies to private sector led functionality.

The firm still plans to stay local in image, and Gordon expressed interest in appearing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's Boyd's fashion guide in hip, young street attire in contrast to acclaimed Philadelphia developer, Carl Dranoff's more traditional ensemble. Gordon has been in New York and Philadelphia completing project deadlines, where he has been after experiencing a bad reaction to Malaria medicine on a recent economic development finance trip to West Africa. William Hyatt Gordon has used his ground time in New York to further plan the GA-II, Sports-Entertainment-Leisure launch. When he learned of the Gavin V. Jones case, he was on Facebook via Blackberry, with Los Angeles, California-based Jessica Johnson, responsible for Music Loves Fashion, going over band talent for both the launch party event, and the after party, a California-publicist notified Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation of the widely distributed Gavin V. Jones case and associated story containing references to Gordon Atlantic Development and Dr. William Hyatt Gordon.

Gordon now seeks support from the Texas sports and entertainment community, as well as leading state real estate and government figures for his proposed Texas Tennis Center developed in conjunction with 912-Design, LLC, and able to host an ATP-1000, or ATP-500 Texas Open world-class tennis event in the Houston, Texas, area. Mr. Jerry Jones; and other prominent members of the Texas sports community have been included on the invitation list for Gordon Atlantic's Sports Entertainment Leisure launch party. Upon review of the Texas case, Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation found a few inaccuracies. Most specifically, William Hyatt Gordon had been in contact with Mr. John Miller to discuss a screen play which featured him, and his story, as an officer responsible for bringing the culprits of the United Kingdom's Great Train Robbery to justice. Dr. Gordon has no recollection of introducing Ms. Gavin to Mr. Miller. Dr. Gordon has no current association with Mr Jack Mayer; UK Investors London, Ltd.; UK Investors International, Ltd.; or the UKI Foundation. UK Investors had been interested in providing project finance in return for equity in certain projects under GA-I. The project finance promised by Mr Jack Mayer and UK Investors, never materialized and those arrangements were discontinued. Dr. Gordon has worked with Ms. Gavin in the past to find Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation charitable opportunities for the firm's participation. Gavin's recommendations included Snowball Express. Gordon Atlantic Development Corporation has always found Ms. Gavin dedicated, hard-working and creative on previous assignments.

Johnson and Gordon continue to debate on the line-up for the SEL launch but it looks like they have selected the artists to be announced to in the press soon. William Hyatt Gordon hopes to see Jerry Jones and Dallas Cowboy team members at the SEL launch parties, and wants all Americans to help him Rock the Economy!

Modeling Pakistan's flooding

Modeling Pakistans flooding
2010-10-10
The catastrophic flooding in Pakistan, which began with the annual monsoons towards the end of July 2010, has affected nearly 62,000 square miles — or one fourth of the entire surface of the USA and Alaska. Six million are homeless. Eight million children are at risk of disease. More than 1,600 are dead already. Flood waters have washed away entire towns, thousands of miles of roads and railways, and damaged the infrastructure of a large portion of the country. Thousands of health facilities are destroyed and rising waters have inundated crop-producing areas, threatening ...

UCLA-led research team finds that bacteria can stand up and walk

2010-10-10
Many drug-resistant infections are the result of bacterial biofilms, structured aggregates of bacteria that live on surfaces and that are extremely resistant to environmental stresses. These biofilms impact human health in many ways — cystic fibrosis, for example, is a disease in which patients die from airway bacterial biofilm infections that are invulnerable to even the most potent antibiotics. Now, UCLA researchers and their colleagues have found that during the initial stages of biofilm formation, bacteria can actually stand upright and "walk" as part of their adaptation ...

2010-10-10
In an experiment exploring the chemical processes that might be going on in the hazy atmosphere enshrouding Saturn's largest moon, a University of Arizona-led team of scientists discovered a variety of complex organic molecules – including amino acids and nucleotide bases, the most important ingredients of life on Earth. "Our team is the first to be able to do this in an atmosphere without liquid water. Our results show that it is possible to make very complex molecules in the outer parts of an atmosphere," said Sarah Hörst, a graduate student in the UA's Lunar and Planetary ...

2010-10-10
Cambridge, Mass., October 7, 2010 – A collaborative, six-year study of carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in Beijing and surrounding provinces suggests that combustion efficiency, a component of overall energy efficiency, is improving in the region. The findings, published in the September 21 issue of Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics, are generally consistent with official Chinese government statistics and could bolster their credibility as international negotiations proceed on commitments of China and other nations to combat climate change. A team of atmospheric scientists ...

Experts say direct-to-consumer genetic tests need innovative oversight

2010-10-10
HOUSTON, Oct. 8, 2010 – Direct-to-consumer (DTC) genetic tests available from retailers and the Internet let people learn about their genomes without going to a doctor, but they raise the question of who is responsible for oversight and regulation of these tests. Critics worry about safety risks if consumers base important lifestyle or medical decisions on inaccurate or misunderstood test results. A group of four leading bioethical, legal and medical researchers believes the solution will require an innovative approach that combines premarket studies done before tests ...

Redescription of Cobitis longipectoralis Zhou from late early Miocene of East China

2010-10-10
The family Cobitidae is a group of small, bottom dwelling, primary freshwater fishes . They are widely distributed in Eurasia and Morocco, with the greatest diversity in southern Asia. However, known fossil cobitids are scarce, and only include a few species of Cobitis and a species of Sabanejewia. Most of the materials consist of either detached suborbital spines or poorly preserved skeletons with little information about the suborbital spines. †Cobitis longipectoralis Zhou, 1992, from the late early Miocene of Shanwang, Shandong Province, eastern China, is the only species ...
