Dr. Margaret Altman Serving Treasure Coast Seniors At New WellMed Clinic

Fort Pierce's Newest Primary Care Facility Designed With Senior Care In Mind

SAN ANTONIO, TX, October 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) The newest medical home for Medicare-eligible seniors on the Treasure Coast is now open in Fort Pierce featuring the services of Dr. Margaret Altman and her staff.

WellMed at Fort Pierce is located at 1155 South US 1. Designed with senior care in mind, WellMed at Fort Pierce features six exam rooms and an on-site lab, plus senior-friendly features including no-glare lighting, non-skid flooring and extra-wide hallways.

Leading the clinic is Dr. Margaret Altman, a Kentucky native who earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she also conducted her residency. Prior to arriving in Florida three years ago, Dr. Altman served as After Hours Clinic Director at Jewish Hospital and St. Mary's Healthcare in Louisville, and as a staff physician at Ireland Army Community Hospital at Fort Knox.

Dr. Altman and her staff will utilize the nationally recognized WellMed Care Model, focusing on preventive medicine to help patients manage chronic disease and improve health outcomes.

The Fort Pierce clinic is the latest in a WellMed's growing roster of branded primary care outlets in Florida, all focused on expanding access to quality healthcare for Medicare-eligible seniors.
