RALEIGH, NC, November 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) O2 Fitness, the largest locally owned fitness company in North Carolina, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this November, a milestone that many locally owned businesses never reach. To help mark this huge accomplishment, O2 Fitness is opening enrollment to the community for only $10 for the entire month of November.
"Many other operators have come and gone, but we are still here as a strong part of the community," said Michael D. Olander Jr., President and CEO of O2 Fitness Clubs. "In our 10 years of serving the community, we have expanded from a single location in Raleigh to our current 10 locations serving the entire Triangle in Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill, Fuquay-Varina and Wilmington. We look forward to additional growth and continuing to help our members reach their fitness goals."
Over the course of the past decade, O2 Fitness has become an integral part of the communities that it serves and currently has over 25,000 members and more than 500 dedicated team members. The company most recently was awarded Independent Weekly's Best of the Triangle 2012 Award and has been recognized by Inc. Magazine three years in a row on its Inc. 5000 List of fastest growing private companies in America. O2 Fitness has also been awarded Cary Magazine's Best of Western Wake Maggy Award, Midtown Magazine's Best Place to Sweat Diamond Award, and is a three-time winner of Metro Magazine's Metro Bravo Award for Best Health Club.
O2 Fitness hosts numerous local events and partners with several area nonprofit organizations. They have donated over $80,000 in memberships to more than 100 nonprofit organizations this year alone. Throughout the month of October, O2 Fitness hosted its second Shape Up Downtown series of free outdoor group fitness classes in Downtown Raleigh's City Plaza. It recently sponsored the Walk for Hope, an event benefitting a local nonprofit that funds mental illness research. O2 Fitness has also been a longtime supporter of the Frankie Lemmon School in Raleigh, which helps preschool and kindergarten children with special needs achieve their full potential.
"This 10-year milestone is a reminder that hard work really does pay off," Olander added. "However, the real measure of success for us comes in the form of our loyal members who support us and have experienced the life-changing benefits of our whole-body fitness experience."
As O2 Fitness gears up to celebrate this November, its team is working harder than ever to provide members with a welcoming, motivating and clean environment, along with high-energy group fitness classes and inspiring personal training sessions, all helping clients achieve their results. Membership to all of O2 Fitness' locations offer two free personal training sessions, child care and access to more than 8,000 clubs worldwide. Memberships range from a standard 12-month agreement to no contract, month-to-month options, family packages and corporate discounts.
