RALEIGH, NC, November 07, 2012 (Press-News.org) Unique concepts, a custom furniture design firm has teamed with the Manning Design Group to redesign the Cancer Center and Cyberknife unit in Fayetteville, NC.
The project involved creating a large reception station, as well as a small cafe and gift shop. Unique Concepts was contracted to provide all of the casework for the project.
"We had worked with Unique Concepts in the past," says Lynne Manning, President of Manning Design Group, "[we] felt that they could help us refine our design to meet the needs of our client."
Those needs included a desk in the reception station with great visual impact. This design included 3Form panels that required back lighting and electrical components. The transaction surfaces have quartz features, as well as sculpted Koroseal panels on the front walls of the desk. The finished project is not only the centerpiece of the Cancer Center lobby, but also a functional reception desk.
The lobby's cafe and gift shop also had some Unique Concepts input; they created the cabinetry for that area as well.
