FRANCONIA, VA, November 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) It is the year of the pampered pet, and by mid-November, Franconia animals will be lining up to celebrate the grand opening of Pet Supplies Plus, the nation's most trusted network of community pet retailers for food, equipment, toys and more. Located at 7007 Manchester Blvd. in Franconia, Pet Supplies Plus will celebrate its grand opening Nov. 16-18, 2012.
The new Pet Supplies Plus of Franconia will offer area residents a wide variety of pet toys, equipment and a broad range of food from premium items to basic grocery products. The new neighborhood pet center is proud to feature a varied selection of natural pet foods that do not contain any chemically synthetic additives or ingredients, making it easier for pet parents to provide their pets with healthy meals. Moreover, the Pet Supplies Plus of Franconia will carry an extensive variety of Made in the USA pet consumables such as wet and dry food, treats, rawhide, chews and more.
Offering a friendly, welcoming environment, this Franconia pet retailer will carry an unbeatable selection of services and supplies. The 8,101-square-foot store will feature a full menu of grooming services tailored to each pet's needs including haircuts, full body brushing, flea treatment, and nail, skin, ear and oral care.
"We understand the special bond between owners and their pets, and at the end of the day, we believe that pets own people - not the other way around," said Dave Bolen, CEO of Pet Supplies Plus. "We look forward to becoming an integral part of the Franconia community and getting to know all the neighborhood pets and their people by name."
To mark Pet Supplies Plus official entrance into Franconia, on Nov. 16, 17, and 18, 2012 the neighborhood pet center is inviting families to a grand opening celebration that will include a Pets 'N People Pizza Party, $30 gift cards to the first 50 customers on Saturday and a chance to win a one-year supply of pet food or gift cards. Pets can enjoy free samples of food and treats while parents can meet with pet food company representatives to learn more about the healthy options for their pets. Kids can have fun meeting the small animals, stopping by the tattoo station or nominating their school or classroom to win an aquarium. Additionally, Franconia shoppers will have the benefit of perusing through a new store design layout that boasts an updated color scheme and emphasizes convenience, functionality and pet interaction.
Pet Supplies Plus maintains a professional, experienced and knowledgeable staff. Their extensive training ensures that all employees are able to answer a broad range of questions regarding household pets from dogs and cats - to exotic birds, reptiles and fish, and are experts in natural, organic and holistic foods. The Pet Supplies Plus of Franconia will also hold public pet adoptions from local shelters and regularly host low-cost wellness and vaccine clinics to ensure local pets are healthy, happy and up-to-date on vaccinations.
Founded on the idea that convenient, quality service for busy consumers was lacking in the pet industry, retail veterans, Jack Berry and Harry Shallop, opened the first Pet Supplies Plus in Redford, Michigan in 1988. Since then, the neighborhood-style pet store has become a household name in more than 20 states. Today, the pet care industry accounts for more than $52 billion in consumer spending.
