LAS VEGAS, NV, November 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Comedy Hypnotist Don Barnhart's New Documentary Reefer Rendum Explores America's Prohibition On Marijuana
"The movie was inspired while I was performing my hypnosis shows in Colorado and they passed Amendment 64 legalizing the recreational use of marijuana", states Barnhart. "My hypnosis CDs are already featured in many of the medical marijuana clinics as another alternative source of both physical and mental health".
Barnhart's comedic background takes a humorous approach to the controversial subject with interviews by celebrities, law enforcement, medical personnel, government agencies and stand up comedians.
The comedians use their humor to poke fun at the antiquated laws and hypocrisy while bringing light to the subject and not all the comics interviewed are pro-pot.
Colorado and Washington are the first two states to legalized the use of marijuana and many state are pushing for their own referendums and many hope to change the law on the national level.
Don Barnhart is an award winning comedian, hypnotist and filmmaker and currently stars in the documentary, Finding The Funny with Brad Garrett, Louie Anderson and more exploring whether or not you can teach someone to be funny. He also produced and directed and stars in The Ice House 50th Anniversary Special, The Freedom of Speech Comedy Series and the indie thriller, China Dolls.
Reefer Rendum shows the truth behind our current laws, opinions and propaganda the goes with them and what needs to be done to change the face of both medical and recreational marijuana across America on the federal level. The movie is informative, educational, funny and entertaining.
