RALEIGH, NC, November 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Alloys by Design jewelry by Audrey Dean is now being featured at Sparrowood Jewelers, Raleigh NC and The Little Arts Gallery, Raleigh NC. The unique designs by Audrey Dean are crafted using reticulated silver. Starting with a recipe for an alloy, the metal is melted into a shimmering puddle of liquid. The textures and dimension on the surface are formed during the reticulation process. Once the desired texture is achieved, a torch is used to draw out and highlight the naturally occurring patinas within the metal. The end result is the culmination of Audrey's love of her material and the inspiration of her creative process.
