WESTLAND, MI, November 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities or CARF International has announced that Spectrum Community Services has been accredited for three years for its programs in Child and Youth Services, Community Housing, Services Coordination and Supported Living. This accreditation is the sixth consecutive three-year accreditation that CARF has awarded to Spectrum Community Services.
An organization receiving a three-year accreditation from CARF has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. The organization has demonstrated to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality. This accreditation also demonstrates a provider's commitment to enhance its performance, manage its risk, and distinguish its service delivery.
Spectrum Community Services is the oldest affiliated company of Spectrum Human Services. Established in 1976, Spectrum Community Services provides community-based, residential treatment programs and services to individuals with cognitive disabilities. The consumers of the residential programs may have a combination of physical, developmental, or mental disabilities, autism or may suffer from Alzheimer's/Dementia. With more than 900 employees throughout the state of Michigan, Spectrum Community Services offers programs in Berrien, Kent, Livingston, Macomb, Manistee/Benzie, Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
