GetMed Urgent Care Celebrates Grand Opening at Fountains Center With Ribbon Cutting

GetMed's co-founder and lead physician Lata Shintre, M.D. is ER-trained and has Board Certifications in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

2012-11-29
BOCA RATON, FL, November 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) When GetMed Urgent Care celebrated its grand opening at Fountains Center in Boca Raton recently, representatives of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce were among guests and participated in the official ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new urgent care company occupies 5,000 square feet of renovated space at 7600 West Camino Real, Suite 102. Frontage on Powerline Road adds to GetMed's visibility at the popular office and retail park, which is fast becoming a hub for the medical community to serve full-time and seasonal residents in surrounding central Boca Raton neighborhoods.

Providing urgent care medical services, immediate walk-in care for non-life threatening injuries and illnesses, and preventive care, GetMed has an ER-trained physician on site seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. No appointments are necessary, most insurance is accepted, and affordable cash rates are available for those without insurance or with high deductible plans.

Among GetMed Urgent Care's services are school and sports physicals, flu shots, EKGs, digital x-rays, minor surgical procedures, and lab work. The center also treats colds, bronchitis and pneumonia; and injuries from minor motor vehicle accidents, sprains, cuts, abrasions, scrapes, burns and broken bones.

"We offer a friendly, caring and clean environment focused on quality care, customer service and time efficiency," said ER-trained Lata Shintre, M.D., GetMed founder and lead physician. Her credentials also include Board Certifications in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

GetMed co-founder, Niranjan Shintre, M.D., is a board member at Coral Springs Surgery Center and a member of the Coral Springs Medical Center Emergency Quality Control Committee. He is a Board-certified general surgeon in private practice for four years.

"As my wife and I became painfully aware of rising healthcare costs and growing ER wait times, opening an urgent care center seemed to be the most fitting solution. Together we strive to maintain vital standards of care for the community in a very comprehensive way. With Lata's substantial ER experience in adult as well as pediatric emergency medicine, GetMed Urgent Care is a one-of-a-kind center providing specialized, quality healthcare services for the entire family."

The Shintres hope that their location at Fountains Center in Boca Raton will be the first of many. "We are confident in our strong work ethic and passion for medicine, and we are committed to providing the best healthcare in the most efficient manner. Consequently, we believe our centers will be recognized and highly respected within their communities, and that GetMed will become a leading name nationwide in urgent care centers," added Dr. Niranjan Shintre.
